Marci Carey Andrews
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Ms. Andrews is a founding partner of the Meridian Group of Chesterfield, and has been practicing clinical social work for over 30 years. She works with adults and geriatrics with a focus on griefwork, affective disorders, substance abuse, women's issues and personal growth. Ms Andrews works to improve functioning through increased insight, development of alternative coping strategies and self care techniques.
Ms. Andrews is the director of Focused Solutions For Recovery. This outpatient substance abuse treatment program provides services in both Chesterfield and Petersburg. The program offers evaluations and treatment for the early to middle stage of the addictive process. Treatment can also be used for aftercare following discharge from a residential program or inpatient stay.
Ms. Andrews received her undergraduate degree is psychology from Merrimack College in 1979. She completed her MSW at VCU in 1981, where she specialized in mental health. Her internship was with Hanover Community Services Board as a clinician. Since that time Ms. Andrews has received extensive training and experience in substance abuse and dual diagnosis. She was the clinical director of Poplar Spring Hospital's outpatient program prior to going into private practice in 1988. She has taught workshops for the VISSTA program at VCU, and is an approved service provider for the John Tyler ASAP program.
